Title: Professor of Management at the University of Nevada Reno. Research Interests: Interpersonal harm; toxic workplace behavior & relationship abuse. Topics include: Dark Triad, Mimicry Deception Theory, and destructive leadership.

Bio: Dr. Jones is a Professor of Management at the University of Nevada Reno (UNR). He received his Ph.D. in Social / Personality Psychology from the University of British Columbia in 2011. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and chapters and earned the Early Career Award from the Western Psychological Association. He has received grants from agencies such as the National Science Foundation and Army Research Laboratory for research on secret disclosure, phishing attacks, and cybersecurity. His researches differences among the Dark Triad (Machiavellianism, psychopathy, and narcissism) and Dark Tetrad (Dark Triad + sadism) of personality. He has also developed differential models of betrayal, long vs. short-term deception, organizational harm, and destructive leadership. His recent book, “Falling Fast: The Perils and Possibilities of Emophilia,” discusses the propensity to fall in love easily and is available at Oxford University Press and Amazon. Dr. Jones is developing interventions that are designed to mitigate Dark Triad harm.
